Lecture, Reception, and Tour

Early settlers to Canada brought ornamentals, fruits and vegetables to grow on their new lands. Other species had been harvested or cultivated by native North Americans for centuries. Many of these native and non-native heritage species are still being grown in Saskatchewan today. The history and value of some of these plants was discussed by Sandra Shiels, a local horticultural expert.
