Call for Applications. Deadline 19 April 2021.

The University of Regina Queer Initiative (URQI) in partnership with the Humanities Research Institute and supported by the Office of the Vice-President (Research) invites proposals for research projects in the area of 2SLGBTQ+ Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity (EDI). Micro-grants of $500 to $5000 that are able to be completed by 31 August 2022 are offered. These grants are designed to enable researchers to develop projects that enhance EDI at the University of Regina and that develop knowledge regarding 2SLGBTQ+ inclusivity in research, teaching, administration, policy, and decision-making.

Grants will be awarded based on how the project addresses 2SLGBTQ+ questions and issues in equity, diversity and inclusivity. Preference will be given to projects that fall within at least one of the three following categories: that promote and enhance 2SLGBTQ+ EDI at the University of Regina; that develop partnerships with other researchers, community or on-campus groups; that scale up toward enhanced partnerships and tri-council funding.

In addition to the outcomes proposed in the grant, successful applicants will prepare a narrative report of the project to be submitted by 31 August 2022. This document will be published on the HRI website, as part of a forthcoming “Working Papers” series.

Eligibility:
Faculty members (tenure-track, tenured, term, sessional) at the University of Regina and its Federated Colleges.
Both single applicants and teams are eligible (however, a team must have a Principal Investigator). Teams may include student researchers.

The project must specifically address 2SLGBTQ+ EDI; however, there are no disciplinary restrictions.
The project must be completed by 31 August 2022.
