“There is no case for the humanities,” argues Peter Stover in the Chronicle of Higher Education.  Utilitarian justifications for the humanities ring hollow, says Stover, who nevertheless argues that universities are unimaginable without them.  Is the best way to defend the humanities simply, as Stover argues, to practice them?  For the full article, go to:
