Jérôme Melançon

 

Jérôme Melançon is associate professor in French and Francophone intercultural studies as well as in Philosophy. He has also been leading initiatives around living heritage at the University of Regina, and is the co-chair of the Reconciliation Action Committee. He is the author of La politique dans l’adversité. Merleau-Ponty aux marges de la philosophie (Metispresses, 2018), which deals with the problem of coexistence, and is editing a series of journal issues and books around the French philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty and politics. He has published two books of poetry at Éditions des Plaines and one chapbook with above/ground press. His current research deals with Francophone communities in minority situations, as well as with reconciliation and decolonization in Canada.
