Driss Azdoud

 

Driss Azdoud has a background in linguistics and literature (lexicon, lexicography, semantics). In 1985, he obtained his Doctorat de 3ème cycle en linguistique à l’Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, Paris III, option : Langues du Proche-Orient et de l’Afrique du Nord, and in 1996, his Doctorat d’Etat en linguistique à la Faculté des Lettres de l’Université Chouaïb Doukkali, El Jadida, Morocco.

He is currently Director of Research at the Center for Artistic Studies, Literary Expressions and Audiovisual Production at the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture in Rabat, Morocco, and is a teacher-researcher at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences in El Jadida.

He has published several articles and contributions to edited collections including a series of collectors’ books livres for IRCAM (Arts et architecture amazighes, 2ème édition, 2017, Patrimoine immatériel du Maroc, expressions artistiques amazighes, 2017 et Maroc, regards en perspectives, 2018). He has published extensively on Amazigh arts, poetry, literature and cinema.
