Two Reasons to Engage with the Digital Humanities

Leonard Cassuto, of Fordham University, argues in The Chronicle of Higher Education that the digital humanities not only have the intrinsic value of fostering collaboration between humanities scholars, but they also hold out (for the time being, at least) the prospect of academic employment for those with the right skills.  Cassuto compares the current vogue for the digital humanities to that for post-modernist theory a generation ago.  Soon, he says, we will all be digital humanists.   Share your views on the opportunities – and challenges – of the digital humanities.
